Shadow Winter camo at work
« on: December 08, 2007, 05:29:37 AM »
Did the usual came home for lunch and did a scan of the fortress and there he was standing on my fence post at the 25yrd marker hehe. Alittle snow had fallen so I grabbed the SnowCamo Shadow Sport and headed out the side door. On my way around the side of the house I loaded a Predator and peaked around, he hadn't noticed me or moved. Pulled her up and placed the crosshair's on the fusebox and sent the Predator to do it's job. The impact to his skull just froze em and he just fell to the ground, no twitch, no death dance, he was finished. The Predator found it's mark and exited out the other side. The icebox was very low so he looked good laying in it  and the dark area between the ear and eye is a nice location for a Predator hehe. Ed

That is one healthy looking nutter buddy,,,,, I love the coloring on him.  All the ones around here are basic grey,,,, except for the small population of black ones.

Rifle and prey look awesome layed out,,,,, great shootin as always.   I love that winter camo job of yours....

Thank's Jeff, I waited for the first snow to bring her out cause she just don't blend in green's and tan's hehe. The nutter was a fat one, real fat like he had been gordging himself plenty. Will make for a fine meal. Ed

That's one beautiful photo, Ed. Looks like it should be the cover of some slick magazine. Winter camo looks so great against the snow.

Excuse my ignorance, but is that what you'd call a fox squirrel? Like Jeff, the only ones we see around here are the grey squirrel (I can never remember if it's 'grey' or 'gray' ;~), but instead of black variations, we see an increasing number of the white (non-albino) ones, especially over in forum member Ronnie Fisher's (rabbit's) neck o' the woods in western NC.

Thank's Bryan and yes that's one fat Fox Squirrel, we got a load of em here. The last few week's they have been in hiding but the first snow got them up and moving. When I dropped him I noticed two more up in my Walnut tree, they moved it out quick when there buddy dropped. We'll see what tommorrow will bring hehe. Ed

I have to correct Jeff on what he said.. "That is one healthy looking nutter"......  Sorry Jeff but that should be past tense..:) It was one healthy nutter till the Shadow took him down with his Camo Gamo..:) Way to go Ed and will be looking forward in seeing one of my favorite air rifles take down many varments this winter..:)

Thank's buddies, BURP! hehe the nutter was great. I like to think that I'm kinda handy with a airbrush :) and Sean we can import some snow there, getting our share here. Ed
