Waynesboro, Wrens, Hephzibah, Thomson, Appling, Evans, Clark Hill, and or S.C. comrades in arms in the N.Augusta, Aiken, Modoc, Plum Branch or surrounding areas.... and all points in between.

Let's get together and sling some lead some weekend.

Kliff , Do you have a place to shoot? if so ; we could put on a "get together" at your choice of place . I'll come and shoot and try to bring a few folks. I have one Gamo target and a set of steel swingers . Augusta area would be right in the middle between the Atlanta area and the folks in S.C. . kirby

How about a squirrel hunt . Anybody know of any property we could hunt squirrels on. An Out of state one day license is only $12 http://www.georgiawildlife.com/content/displaycontent.asp?txtDocument=31 . we could hunt WMA but the price would jump to $73 more for out of state . Some nice private acreage would be ideal. Small game season runs through February 29th . kirby

Right now I'm shooting in Dad's back yard. Once I get my target box set up, I'll be able to shoot in my backyard too. That's why I was hoping to find someone else in the area, hoping to locate another good shooting zone, big enough to accomodate multiple shooters.

For a good squirrel hunt, try to find Pecan farms. Most owners welcome help to thin the herd, as it costs them money to eradicate, and in  smaller crops that the little beggars steal.

This might help find a place to do some squirrel hunting in Georgia...

Kliff, and Gene you have absolutely got to come down to covington and try a FT shoot.  You WILL fit in with no problems trust me.  If they let guy like me and David shoot there then they'll let anyone shoot, LOL.  There is a mice large feld, stand-up targets, and great FT lanes.  There are vairous targets to shoot at on the range, I thought I even saw some Silo targets too.  There are 2 nice solid benches for those that need them as well.

And Kliff you are a straight shot on I-20, your drive wouldn be bad at all.  All of the club members drive about an hour.  I drive an hour and a half each way to get there, and I go just about every 2 weeks on average.

Maybe I can talk the club President into a fun shoot to introduce some new faces to FT or just have some silly competitions to pass some time with like minded people.

Was just looking at the pictures Jon, and day dreaming..:) Just may have to take you up on that after the first of the year. I just hate long drives and the Atlanta area is not one of my favorite places to drive either..:) But I sure appreciate your invitations to come visit, meet, shoot and have some fun..:)

Gene,

I understand about the driving thing, it is a haul for you, but I gotta tell you Airgunning Atlanta is like the Airgunning Mecca of the southeast. When you drive up the path I swear I hear angels sing, LOL.

I would love to have a piece of property just like it, acres of worry free lead slinging land.

I have a nice area in back of my place to shoot. It faces the county of Anderson and there is no homes but just brush and trees. I have not started working on it yet. Just moved in early fall. There is shooting distance out to 50 and 100 yards depending where you shoot from. But I want to make a shooting range so friends can come over and shoot. I plan on building a big deck in back of house next spring and there will be shooting from there and also below. The back of my house faces the area you see in the pictures. That is about 150 ft from left to right plus more on the side..:) But the area you see will be the main shooting range.. Gene
