Tasco Scopes
« on: December 23, 2007, 12:44:03 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I am having a hard time figuring out which tasco scopes are airgun rated.  Every now and then I read about someone that says they have one.  On most of the websites I've looked at non of the specs for the tasco scopes say anything about them being airgun rated and I am scared to buy one without knowing.  Walmart had a Tasco Varmint 6-24 scope with mil dot for $74 I was interested in but think it might just be for rimfires.

thanks
Brian

Brian, the Golden Antler is the best Tasco Air Gun scope that they make. There are many posts on the Golden Antler if you do a search, you can read about them.

Bryan, I have 2 of the 3-9x32AO Golden Antler airgun scopes and love them both. Optics Planet has the best price on them right now $43 and change shipped. I wish that I would have gotten a few more when I got mine, they were less than $30 shipped.

I don't know if it is air gun rated but my tasco 6-24x42 target/varmint scope lasted 500 or so rounds on my new and untuned RWS350mag . I put it on after 200 rounds and had zero trouble .I now have it on my viper with about 150 rounds together. That is just my experience and there is no way of knowing if you will have the same luck
