Question Please/Who knows ???
« on: January 12, 2008, 11:09:42 AM »
Hi everybody, Dose  anybody know if a Shadow 1000 spring will fit in a Quest 1000 as I have a couple of backup shadow springs spare now days & I like to keep stocked up on parts, If they will fit then I won't have to order any more springs.

Sean, it will fit, however it will not fit as good, the ID is alittle larger.

Shouldn't cause any problems, the rear guide will be alittle loose and cause some spring twang. I'm only guessing that it will fit, I know the quest spring will fit a shadow, so it should go the other way also.

Hmmmm Could possibly fix any twang with a washer and a ton of grease lol.

Hi Sean... no , it won't hurt anything. It may have just a little bit more twang or vibration and you might not even notice it.
