Testing my new camera rig...
« on: August 13, 2006, 12:36:47 AM »
This is the result of taking a junk scope and making a rig that positions it in front of the camera. It works well at 6x but higher than that can get blurry due to the magnification of any movement.
The target is approx. 25-30 yards out in this shot.

Guru 1,

Is that a " Mil - Dot " reticle on your camera scope ?  That is an excellent picture of the " tree raider ."  Best of luck...

Yes Rabbit, that is a mil-dot scope. It is a Barska 3-12x40 with a bent tube due to a minor mishap. Seems to perform well enough for this task.

Thanks Gene. The funny thing is that I spooked him a bit while shooting the pictures so he left the tree and moved to another where he froze. I watched and waited for a few minutes and sure enough, he returned to the feeder once he felt comfortable again. That's when the Daisy got it's shot at em. He didn't run off after that one though LOL.
