Great day at the Corcoran ranch!!!
« on: August 13, 2006, 03:56:43 PM »

Hey Folks,

Just thought I'd share some pictures of the can killing festival we had today at Steve Corcorans place.

First, chooseyour weapon. How do you choose ONE when there are so many nice ones to choose from? Well, just shoot them all! An LD, DAQ .25, a MA2560, a Trapmaster, QB78's, Crosman 600..........the list goes on!

Here Steve, shoot this one, I made it myself. What, it doesn't work, sorry:(

Joel Lively and the MA2560 with Steve Corcoran Thumbhole...Steve's personal gun. All I can say is "Lookout evil soda cans!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hey, who is that handsome guy holding the MA2560?? I swear I've seen him before...oh yea, he's that guy in the mirror, DanoInTx! :)~

And that kid with the 2300 Custom would be Tory my oldest son..."Lookout cans...and Dad!"

"Hey, I think there's something wrong with this thing. Thanx for the broken gun Dan!"

All in all I think we had a great day. Steve and his family are the nicest bunch of people you'll ever meet. That Joel Lively guy too, I swear if he keeps it up I'll own all of his guns. Hey Joel, if you are reading this I really need you to take one of those QB78's apart so you'll give it to me to put back together. Ya know, the first time I met Joel I went with no gun and came home with one. The second time I visited him I went with a brad nailer I never use and came home with a bandsaw. Today was my third visit with him, I left my 2300 with Steve and came home with 2 of Joels guns. And get this, I left a stupid broken all wood 2240 with Steve, and sometime here in the future I'll get my 2300 back with a genuine Steve Corcoran custom stock!!! Really great bunch, I hope to have another day or 100 like this in the future, thanx for the day guys!

Yea, it really was a great day.  I hadn't shot any of my guns out past the 13 yards I have in my backyard except for one other time.  To shoot the DAQ, and the 2560, and and and...phew, it was like Airgun Disneyland.  Steve is just lucky it was so hot or he woulda had to man handle us into our car so we could leave.  I think we started to leave for about an hour, and then someone would pick up another favorite gun, we'd all take turns killing horse apples or cans, then we'd say it's hot and we've got to leave, then another one would take a shot at something and everyone else would try for it.  It was a great day, really I couldn't have asked for a better sunday afternoon.

How does one get ahold of one of those neat "new" 2240's? I sure would like one for my collection. jmlv175@msn.com

Send me an email, we'll talk!

Funny,a friend of mine wrote after seeing that pic and mentioned that someone else is making those too, but they shoot wooden bullets.....
