Ya Dave, I have 3 of the 44 bells and 2 of the 40's. I have just recently bought the new 44's but the others are a couple years old now and have always been on springers and hold zero just great. Yes Bushnell scopes are supposed to handle medium to heavy springer recoil. I have a Banner 4-12-40AO on one of my air rifles and it is almost two years old now.
Take that bushy off that rifle and put it on another and see if it holds zero.
