I got my new toy today
« on: February 01, 2008, 10:54:54 AM »
The brown truck pulled up about 4:45 today . Leaving me less than an hour to clean, scope , and sight in my new Air Arms S400H Classic 12fpe in a walnut stock and all I can say is sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. Pictures will have to wait until Monday . I ran out of daylight and I'm taking my AA carbine hunting in the morning , and I've got a fishing trip planned for Sunday with my brother. The rifle is shrouded and very quiet . Not silent , but quiet. After sighting in ,I had a little daylight left and was able to tell she's going to like CPL's and JSB exacts , but of course most guns I've shot do to some degree and, I like her already .No problem keeping my shots inside a one inch dot at 30 yards shooting from the F/T sitting position. Next week I'll fill up an air tube and get the chrony out and put it through the paces , for a review with pictures. Thanks to Jim and Nancy at Precision airgun supplies in Mich. Great Service !!. I called Monday about a specific model which he only had one in stock and it was on hold for another customer . He got in touch with the customer and confirmed with them that they were willing to wait a while . I'm sure glad he did. But it was late Tuesday after UPS pickup time , so the rifle left Wed. and I got it today . Wow, I didn't know UPS was that fast . The rifle was bubble wrapped inside and double boxed and the bad UPS guys must have taken the week off , because the outer box wasn't even messed up. kirby

Very cool David. I'll look forward to your full review on her and some numbers. It's not likely to happen, but if I were to stray to the dark side I'm pretty sure one of the AA 400 series rifles would be very high on my list.
