Is the GRT-III a drop in trigger?
« on: February 06, 2008, 07:17:50 AM »
does it require bending a spring?
I've got a trigger insert that requires bending the spring?
But if I don't like it, I'll have to bend the spring back, which cause it to weaken and BREAK.
I've all ways made safety my first priority.

Thanks.

Welcome to the GTA Forums Clint,

Yes, the GRT-III is pretty much a drop in, just remove the old, and in with the new.

I would have to guess, that you do not have a GRT-III trigger, as the trigger return spring is not re-used with the GRT-III. It sounds like Rich in Mich's insert. I have no knowledge of them.

Welcome Clint. If you use the insert be sure that it CAN NOT MOVE, inside the trigger blade, otherwise it CAN NOT be adjusted properly. I had one and swapped it for the GRT-III, no fun to have a trigger with a mind of it's own. I didn't bend the spring back and the GRT-III works fine. Do yourself a favor and put a GRT in and save the time of having to swap out later.

I have a CDT Trigger. I bought a 220 that was tuned by Bob.
I've never tuned a Gamo, but have tuned a B-26, and My HW97 MKIII.
Along with MANY..Many Crosman pumpers.

I plan to get a Gamo Big Cat. I as of now I have the 220 and the CFX. Along with the HW97.

Thanks. Guys
This forum is looks to be pretty dedicated to the Gamo Line.
So I figured I'd ask.

Welcome to the GTA, Clint. Heck, the guys and gals on the GTA are pretty dedicated to most any airgun; if you look at some of the member's signatures, you'll see a pretty big variety of makes and models.

But I guess the thing about Gamo's, at least with me, is that there's this guy that sells a phenomenal trigger blade to fit most Gamo's; one that I'll bet could be successfully installed into a Gamo by my 10 year old niece, and would feel like it was installed and adjusted by a pro gunsmith. We call him Charlie, but his name is Bob ;~)

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem....

 :emoticon:

Funny.... I don't see a problem!
