breaking in a whisper

I am supposed to receive my new whisper tomorrow-

what would you suggest for a break in/checking everything out procedure?

Well Mark,



The first thing that you want to do is check it out, look it over :)



Then clean your barrel, goo gone is recommended by many, until your have patches coming through clean.



Then check all the stock screws to make sure they didn't send it to you with loose screws..



Then clean the scope rails and your scope mounts, and the boltswith alcohol, have a little for yourself, I and others clean the barrel of the scope also, for better grip of the mounts. Use blue loctite, sparingly, on all bolts, and the Whispers scope rails, if you want a fool-proof-attachment. Put this all together, and make sure the bolts are nice and tight, don't strip them !



Open your tin of pellets, and enjoy. Remember: Safety first, never touch your trigger until your sights are on your target !!!!! and Never point your rifle at anything that you do not intend on killing !!!!
