B26-2 Scope
« on: February 19, 2008, 12:22:36 PM »
Purchased a B26-2 from MM and wanted to put a scope on it.. Purchased a one piece high mount and it is not high enough.. Short of trimming the comb what is being done to get the scope high enough??  Without costing a bundle I might add.... FN

On one of my B26-2's I bought  a raised scope rail from the GAMO website,,, costs something like 14 bucks w/free shipping,,, and mounted it on the rifle receiver.  Then I mounted my Accushot one piece high mount on top of that,,,,, worked like charm !!!  Gave me all the height I needed.

The scope rail mounted very easily, and very securely onto the B26-2 grooved receiver and I haven't had one bit of problem with creep or anything else.

A couple other guys here did the same thing and according to their posts it worked very well for them also......

Frank, what scope are you putting on it?

I did the same thing as Jeff and Ed, except I just removed the rail from my Gamo CFX and put it on the 26-2, killing two birds with one stone and making both more comfortable for me to sight through. But even without the rail, the high Leapers one-piece mount was tall enough to mount the Leapers 4-24X50 with a little clearance to spare (if you don't count the scope covers).

I have several scopes on hand that I can use. Thinking of using a 4X32 AO right now. I also have a 30mm red dot I can use. I too have the Accushot High Profile one piece mount.. FN

Well then I will order one tonight. I have been shooting the B26-2 by sighting down the barrel, just to get a feel of it. Even at that I can tell it is pretty darn accurate... FN

Looks nice, did you do anything to the stock?? Or maybe just shows up polished in the pictures.. That rail sure does it.. and it is quite long... Does it have a stop pin ??  I have it on order, so maybe in a week or so I will be in business... I also notice that Gamo has a two piece extra high rings.. but don't know if that in itself would lift it enough...  Thank you guys for all this information.... FN

Looked closer at the pictures and I do see a stop pin screw.......

Hey Frank,,,,,

Didn't do anything to the stock except just a little tender loving care  :)

As for the GAMO rings,,,,,,  I think I'd stick with the Accushot high mount 1 piece, I've tried some GAMO rings in the past and wasn't particularly impressed with them....

Let us know how the rig works out for ya,,,, I think you're gonna be pleased  :)
