I hate my Discovery
« on: February 21, 2008, 09:26:30 PM »

My initial testing proved to me that this gun has a ton of potential.

I occasionally take it out to fire a few rounds but its either cold and windy, cold and rainy or cold and snowing lately. This allows me about twenty mins in the elements handling cold lead before I call it quits! Frustrating!

So I stare at it hanging on my wall begging to be shot.

I started with a Tasco 3-9 non a/o and was shooting tight groups at 10-15 yds. I then switched to a BSA 4x32 w/ a/o and the groups were even more promising at 15-20 yds. Now I've picked up a Barska 3-12x40 AO and I'm stareing at it and the Discovery waiting for it to warm up a little here in the N.East.

Never again will I buy such a nice gun in the middle of winter!

Thats got to be a killer, I recently got back into airguning about 2 months ago and between work and getting home I would not have enough time to play with the gun I would just sit in my room and look at the gun, I did a lot of re-organization and I have a few hours to shoot a day now.

You scared me with that title :)

Here is some video footage, if you can't get out and shoot you can at least see someone else do it ;)

Thank for the link to the video Josh,

Your turning me toward the dark side !!! lol

How many times do you need to pump to fill her up ?

And can the pressure be adjusted, for lower velocity shooting ?

Thanks.

I thought I was the only one that did stuff like that!
I've gotten a Shadow Sport .117, a Panther .22, and a RWS46 Stutzen .177 since the weather turned. Got maybe 30-50 shots thru each of them.
My butt is itching for some warm, dry weather. Like you, I don't think I'll torture myself anymore buying guns in the winter!
