here we go!
« on: February 24, 2008, 10:28:43 PM »
New proposed law. This is because a 17year old tried to rob an old lady using a plastic toy gun and got shot in the leg because the police could not for sure say he was carrying a toy or not. They dont give a rats ass that he tried to rob and probably rape the lady. just that he was shot when he was only carrying a toy.
I ask of you..  show my anything that you can not use as a deadly weapon. even a brick or glass bottle can be used to intimidate/ hurt someone. I am allowed to have my airgun for "sport, recreational and entertainment" I am however not allowed to take it onto/into any are where the public may have access.  Thus I can only shoot in my backyard as I cannot transport my airrifle.

This is so that we as law abiding South Africans are not allowed to defend ourselves from a vilont society. Suppose it is just another measure of reducing population numbers. And making life easier for the poor criminals that cociety created. After all they cannot be held resposible formot having any regard forlife.. and please dont stop them as they deserve to give outing to their innermost anger. *&^%$%$^%*&$%^$* !!!

This is just another reminder for freedom loving Americans.  If we don’t keep an eye on our elicited officials we may fall into the same NANNY STATE condition that the rest of the world sadly finds them selves in.  The winds of “CHANGE” are in the air. Wake up America before it’s too late!!!! :0  :0  :0

I agree Gary. America needs to wake up. The anti gunners have billions of dollars and its growing everyday. Our best hope is to elect officials who support gun ownership. The NRA is our greatest hope of preserving our right to keep and bear arms. If anyone here on GTA is not a member yet I urge you to join the NRA.

Greg, you are right about the NRA being our best hope for preserving the right to keep and bear arms.  In fact today I will be sending them a donation.  This is money I was saving for another air rifle. Then I got to thinking; the gun can wait a few more weeks but fighting off the potential loss of our freedoms should never wait.

I have talked about this subject till I am blue in the face..:) This stuff goes on and on. A few years back an old senial bag lady was yelling at pedistrians on the side walk on a busy street in Los Angeles. She was 70 years old. Police came and wanted to take her to jail for disturbing the piece. The police were standing in front of the shopping cart the old lady was holding onto. She would not let go. She reached in the cart and pulled out a butter knife and the police shot her to death. Of course this was a gross missjudgement on the police's side but still why could they have just used pepper spray or a tazer? I also understand that there are more criminals with fire arms than police..:( You would think with our technology we could come up with a solution besides deadly force.. Just my two cents.

It seems that most cops who commit felonious acts such as murders, child abuse, child prostitution etc., even when convicted do not go to prison, at least not here in Indiana. Just today, I read in the Anderson Hearald where a cop in Alexandria Indiana tried on two occasions to buy *_*_*_*_*_* from a young girl - a felony for you and I, was allowed to plead guilty  to a lessor misdemeanor and promise not to work as a cop in the future - no jail time. Bottom lines is cops don't go to jail.....

Common sense rules..ALWAYS! Here is a great example. Lets say my firearm(s) were taken from me because of a new law imposed in my state. OK. I still want to do harm to someone. I would still use a knife, shovel, chainsaw, motor vehicle, or whatever to get the job done. RIGHT!!! RIGHT. I got the job done. Now my firearm sits in a police station, while that dead person could have defended theirself with a firearm. Anti-gunners will never get it. That is why we need to keep our 2nd amendment alive. If we don't, we will be reaching for a shovel to defend ourself against a criminal's illegal firearm. Common sense rules..AlWAYS!

What the heck!  Did I miss something here?  Forgive me because at my age I sometimes get confused and I don’t sleep well when my head is about to explode. However, I don’t think that JT intended for his post to attack the police for getting away with committing crimes. I don’t have the statistics so I will not attempt to debate the issue.  I think his post was about loosing the individuals “right” to protect him self from low-life trying to do him harm.  At least that’s the way I interpreted it.   Lets face it, there are bad apples in all professions.  I’m not defending bad cops but to be fair, one could include sports figures (OJ Simpson).  Holly-weird celebrities (Robert Blake) and pop stars (Michael Jackson) in the category of not going to jail for committing heinous crimes. On the other hand, OJ may finally get his just reward. That’s just my 2 cents. Now I think I’ll go to bed. :o

Yes, thanks, the reason was because of the "anal" way government is trying to control guns..  They are going to the extreme. We are already under strict gun control here.. Now they are going to control every other item that can hurt someone.. At the same time robberies are still taking place with ak47's etc. A gun that was never sold here thus would never have been stolen from a legal owner and used on the street..  You get my point? Disarm the population so that the criminals have free reign. Please do not think of harming a criminal when he attacts you. It is his right as human being to be that way... Sorry to sound sinical but that is the way laws are going on this side.. Criminals dont mind being caught anymore as long as they dont get shot(hence gun control). They will be out on the street in a few days/weeks because our prisons are over full. What we need is death penalty to restore peace. Or cutting someone's privates off if he raped. The reason we have such a high violent crime rate here is because you are out in 6mths for murder/rape most of the time. I mean be reasonable. If you knew there would be dire consequences for your actions. Steal and loose a hand for instance, then you would think twice. The only thing that deturred criminals in the past was that the owner of the property would shoot his ass when he tries to kill/ rob/rape the owner. Now we are not allowed to defend ourselves and this is just increasing the lawlessness in our society.

Listen to what JT is saying folks.  If we allow the bed wetting liberals, who have taken over the “D” party, convince the dumb-masses that government will protect them from parasitic scum bags, our destiny will be to end up like the rest of world. It is now more than ever that we need to support the NRA with a membership and our check books.

Your right Gary, but I did not mean to attack the police for keeping the piece. Just think there should be more solution or options available to the police to protect themselves without killing someone..:)

As far as gun control goes we are headed towards loosing our rights. If we stick together and support the NRA and write our congressmen, we stand a chance to wart off the liberal communists that want gun control. Just my two cents..:)

JTK i live in the same F****D up country as you.  I agree 100% with what you are saying. It does not help to "control" guns that belong to registered owners. The unregistered bastards(Criminals) are not listed on any computer. So how can they be "controlled"??? It would be easer for us to buy an unregistered(last resort only!!!) firearm or assault rifle to protect ourselfes, because they arent registered , therefore the police have no reason to visit your premises and to confiscate your self defense "tools"

Whe have one of the HIGHEST CRIME RATES IN THE WORLD. A life is considered to be worth anything between $5 and a couple $1000 dollars in South Africa!!! We the general population are the VICTIMS of CRIME and not the Criminals , just for wanting to protect ourselves.

I'm sorry if i come across very harsh, but remember, its our LIVES at stake here, not just a *_*_*_*_*_*y bunch of people complaining about stupid laws. I try to be a good LAW Abiding citizen as far as i can be, but i WILL NOT BE MURDERED by scum with no regard for llive. I will shoot back until i have no Breath or Blood left in me to do so. I Will protect my Family and Neighbours(good or bad) as i feel that it is my Godgiven Right to protect myself, seeing as our Police are too damn LAME to do so.

They worry more about "Speedtraps", illegal gambling and other less Capital crimes than to actualy adress the problem and HIT DOWN with the full power of the LAW on the CRIMINALS in this Country.

"They" are scared to bring back the Death penalty because they will "Swing like grass in the wind"
I realy love my Country, but at some point i will have to make a decission to Stay or to GO. Any of you guys got some living space for 2???
Unfortunately it is a very costly process to just Up and Leave. Our money is not worth mutch anywhere execpt maybe in Zimbabwe(e xchange rate 1: 100 000 or something.) LOL!!!

I am a Patriot and i hate to see our Coutry beeing fed to the Dogs.

Enough about that now!!! Thanks for listening!!!
