I did a lube tune on mine and swapped the spring guide around to the rear(non-piston) end of the spring. That alone makes a big difference in how it shoots. The added weight of that steel guide gives a higher effective piston weight which makes it jump more when shooting it. Swapping it to the back of the spring made it much smoother shooting. I did some polishing, some tarring, some lubing and then put it back together and shot it a lot. I love it.
I use Gamo lead round balls instead of steel BBs. BBs will wear out the rifling in no time. The lead BBs hit harder, also. Mine came with 2 8-shot cylinders for pellets and a 10 shot BB magazine. I'd like to get a bunch of the lead rounds and a couple more BB magazines. This thing is TOO MUCH FUN!!

New rear sight

Yes, I did get the M-16 style sight that I mentioned earlier.  I didn't like it unfortunately, it sat too high on the rail, and didn't line up with the front post.  Returned it for a refund... :0

What I ended up using was a BSA 40mm red-dot with integral Weaver base, mounted far forward on the rail.  Works really well for Diet Coke cans at 25 meters.  Lately I've been using Gamo Hunters, RWS Superdomes, and Gamo Match.  Tried Beeman Perfect Rounds, and had mixed results... maybe after a tune.

I haven't done any tuning as yet to the MP514-K, but I think I will try swapping the spring guide to the rear (mentioned by another poster a couple replies up - thanks!).

I paid about $130 +s/h for mine at Pyramyd, but I think you can get them at Sportsmans Guide for $79... shucks...

I wish they would make a bulk fill version of this chassis. That would be gold.
