Out here they have grain bag's full of dryed corn on the cob, just find yourself a piece of plywood run a nail through the center and mount it on a limb etc. Run the cob down onto the nail and presto. I've watched em trying to haul off a whole cob across my yard, until a Predater drop's em. If you have bird feeder's, they'll be after them too. Ed

I would of never expected corn, i want to bait some squirrel because im anxious to take one down with my discovery 22. I put a piece of bread with peanutbutter out the other day and im pretty sure a squirrel grabbed it because i seen foot prints in the snow but then the next dayi put another piece out and i saw cat prints so i got another stalker gettin to the bait before the squirrel does.

I agree with Ed about the corn. Every once in a while, when I guy bird seed, I also pick up a bag of food that Home Depot sells that is advertised for larger critters such as rabbits and squirrels. It is loaded with whole kernel corn and cracked corn and when I put this stuff out the squirrels home in on my yard in larger numbers than when I have regular bird seed out there.....

I don't remember the name of the larger "critter" food but the bag clearly indicates that it's intended to attract larger animals and it has pictures of squirrels and rabbits on the front of the bag. I"m tellin ya,,,, this stuff really drew in the tree rats in my yard when I put it out. It was amazing......

Around here they go nuts for the black sunflower seeds also.Walmart sells them, They also sell the corn on the cob and a green metal coil type holder. Its like $2 you put the corn in lock it down and attach it to a tree. It takes them a while to get the corn out and they havent been able to destroy it yet. Its kinda cool to watch them try to figure it out

PEANUTS!!! There's a mexican store near where I live that sells 5 pound bags of peanuts (both roasted & unroasted) for about 4 bucks. The squirrels LOVE em!!!

Peanuts, corn, and sunflower seed. I used to buy sunflower seed in large bags in the bird seed section to fatten up the tree rats.

Jaymo's on it.the three tastiest morsals you can get for those tree rats.i've bated squirels w/ corn and sunflowers only.they harvest lots of corn and sunflower seeds around these parts.if you use it they will come.to make it more interesting dont make it so easy for them to get to.they are pretty clever lil critters.
