Just did the trade for the R1.  Fun Gun!  Revovered some .20 caliber crow magnums from the duct seal.  Looks pretty impressive compared to the .177 target pellets I'm used to.

But still trying to get the hang of the break barrel.  Sometimes I pull it down very easily other times, it doesn' want to budge and I have to readjust my grip to the sweet spot.

Anyway here's my question, I was trying it out on my silent pellet trap in the garage.  Noticed when I'd break the barrel for loading, whisps of vapor would come out of the breech.  What is this?  Thanks for the info.

Also,  this is in the better to make sure category.  Is there any issue with shooting in the garage and lead from a 1000 fps air rifle?

If it is actually coming out of the breech itself after the gun is fired and before the breech is opened, it's an indication that the breech seal is leaking. If it is after the breech is opened or if you mean from the end of the barrel, that is something that can be considered not unusual if it is not excessive. If it is excessive, it could mean that there might be excessive lube getting in front of the seal and dieseling a little more than usual.

Thanks for the reply.  Yes it is after the breech is opened, not that much, just a few whisps.  I guess I should read up on how  how springers work.
