You will love the power of the BEAST....lol.

I used the daystate bullets in it on the Possum. I also got a Rabbit at 60 yards standing, so its accurate and powerful. Impact points change with different ammo tho, so you gotta be prepared before going out for a hunt, with your different types of ammo to be used, and your aim points. Heavy pellets first, lighter pellets after about 20 shots.

Daystate 39.5 and 40 grainers, High impact and varminters work really well for the first 20 shots. Wash them in dishwash first and coat them with Carnauba wax or suchlike that doesn't dry out. They can be a tight fit in most rifles, but the Evanix rotary mag delivers them to the breech very sweetly.

Then maybe Beeman Kodiaks for 20 shots.

cheers

Hi,

To be honest, I haven't thrown it over the chrony yet......I am waiting for an adapter being made for me currently to fit a*$ilencer* (legal here in NZ)I have bought for it. I will then chrony it. It is one very loud Air Rifle.

From the shots I have put through it while hunting, it starts very powerfully and drops significantly in power after 2 mags.

I would be very surprised if the Muzzle Velocity is below 850 - 900 fps with the 39.5 grainer bullets on a full tank. Thats over 60 ft/lbs and could get to 77 ft/lbs depending on the results I discover when I chrony it.

I will definitely post the results here. However even before chrony'ng, I can recommend this weapon to anyone who wants to hunt. At the price currently from Pyramid Air, it is a steal.......$599 -$699 depending on options. It is really well made.

Not for FT or target shooting where consistent velocities are required over an extended shot string though. It is a power beast where accuracy and power are required for that "special" small game animal.......

I am less concerned with the Muzzle Velocity using the Daystate bullets, as the terminal ballistics. These are very aerodynamically well suited to long range work at the energies the Evanix puts out. Exit velocity does seem to be much lower initially, but it carries much better at long range. Point Blank Zero is lengthened, and they retain a huge amount of energy out to 100 yards. I have yet to work out or discover the BC for these, but it is very good, and a leap forward over using pellets of any weight or design. I can only recommend from my experience,to try them in your when it arrives, they are very accurate.

more later.
