Gamo Shadow 1000 Stock too Long
« on: August 30, 2006, 12:56:13 AM »
Hello All,

The stock on my Gamo Shadow 1000 feels like it is too long for me.
I'm undersized at 5'7", and when I hold the stock resting in the bend of my arm my trigger finger doesn't quite
reach the trigger area. I've been told this is a way to measure the stock to see if it's the right length.

When I tuck it into my shoulder I feel myself struggling to get comfortable, it's pushing me back.

My question is can the stock be shortened? It's that synthetic stock that feels like it is hollow.

Thanks,
Matratt

You're probably better off modding a wood stock. Crosman's part# for the Quest stock is C1K77-026, that should fit the Gamo action with a minimum of fitting. Crosman's phone # is 1-800-724-7486

Gamo used to sell Hunter 220 stocks for $30, but I don't see them listed on the website anymore.
