ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN...
« on: April 01, 2008, 02:10:50 PM »
You can never be too carefull.......I was adjusting the scope on my CFX .25....I thought that it was unloaded...well I thought wrong....as I was tightening the mount, the gun went off and the pellet discharged thru the bottom of the forearm and went right into my big toe on my right hand,I was caught way off guard and stumbled backward down a flight of stairs and broke my index finger on my left foot........YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SAFE....ESPECIALLY ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE FOURTH MONTH.........LOL!

Yep accidents do happen.

I've got a bullet hole in my ceiling and a stuck pellet in a piece of antique furniture to prove it too.

This happened because I didn't treat my gun like it was loaded, lesson learned.

Be careful people.

And Joe...you had me going for a second there too.

Alot of years ago I was looking at and handling  a high powered air rifle in a gun shop....I didn't intend to buy...no permit yet and no money.  After I was finished with it and handed it back to the clerk....he pointed it at the floor and squeeze the trigger...a loud pop and a pellet shot out.  He, me and all the people around the counter were shocked....he said, " Chriiist....it was loaded!!!"

Always think that any air or fire arm is loaded.  Safety First!!!!
