hunter exterem scope

i dont remember the exact words from gamo but i thought they said they built the scope thats on the hunter extreme just for that gun.a scope that would stand up to the high recoil.well today while shooting i needed to zoom in on a bird and the scope didnt zoom.im not sure what the prob. is but whether its on low or high power it doesnt change.so much for being a brute of a scope.has this ever happened to any of you guys and if so is i fixable?i wonder if gamo will fix it or send me a new one.ill just have to call them tomarrow.its just such a bummer i cant shoot now until it gets fixed.no telling how long that will take them.
