Installed the GRT III trigger in my shadow .177 the other day and was dying to head out and do some pest control shooting, but the weather just wasn't cooperating. Woke up early this morning, saw a beautiful bright blue sky, so grabbed the S1K and headed for the duck farm. When I got to the farm I took some time and did some target practice to see if the scope was still zero'd in after removing the stock for the trigger installation. Found the rifle shooting right where it was supposed to be, only difference was the wonderful feel of that GRT III trigger.I was ready. I found huge flocks of starlings attacking the grain feeders with abandon so got to the task at hand. First shot resulted in a dead starling. Same result for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th shot. After that the entire flock flew down to the other end of the farm (a long walk for me) and started hitting the feeders down there. I made the walk down, nailed a couple more birds, then the birds flew back to the original feeder back at the opposite end of the farm again. Normally they will keep coming back to the feeders, even after I shoot, but I guess they're getting smarter. I did this routine for about 2 hours, then got tired of walking back and forth across the farm. In one of the feeding pens there were large black backed seagulls harassing the ducks. The gulls actually peck pieces of meat out of the live ducks, sometimes killing them in the process. The farm owners have a federal nuisance permit allowing them to shoot the gulls, so I decided to see if I could get a shot or two at the gulls. Managed to sneak within 40 yards, took aim at a gull standing on top of one of the feeders, pulled the trigger, bam..........one dead gull. In the next hour got 2 more gulls. The gulls headed off for parts unknown so I called it a day. Today was processing day at the farm, the day they kill, process and pack up ducks for shipment, and before I left the owners were nice enough to hand me a large bag containing about 5 pounds of boneless duck breasts from this mornings processing. Was a good day all around.
