PELLET WEIGHTS BEING DIFFERENT
« on: April 16, 2008, 02:35:40 PM »
I have seen where people mention a weight of their pellet and I check mine and it is different. Example Cobra lists the Gamo Rocket as 8.2g and Tomahawks as 7.8, however Pyramid list them as Rocket 9.6g and Tomahawk as 8.5g Which is correct? I see different weights alot on different sites. I use Rockets, Hunters, Tomahawks and  cphp as my main pellets. Which ever I am currently using I scope them in and then just use them till I change or have a different need. All are within 2 inches of each other either higher or lower at the same distance. Add 20 ft and everything changes....

I know for sure that the Tomahawks are 7.8 grains because I weigh mine. 7.8 is the avg with a range of like 7.6 ~ 7.9

Hey Sarge, you know you really can't tell what them pellets weigh unless you weigh em. The advertised weight can vary from batch to batch. I have a tin of kodiaks for example that are advertised @10.6 gr but the scale says 11.2 gr.
