Nice video review on the Disco. Now I wonder how Paul's take on the Disco compares with the GTA members who now own a Crosman Disco.? Any feedback guys?

Not yet Gene, I'll let you know next week, If Tiff will let me shoot it. If she won't, I'll have Mrs.Splash, let everyone know what she thinks.

Thanks for checking out the show folks--I realize there's a few more tests I need to perform, mainly:

-Shots per fill (co2 & HPA)
-Decibel levels (it's firecracker loud inside the Air Lodge!)
-More pellet accuracy/chrony tests (many were on backorder prior to taping the show)

I'm hoping to do a show special with Crosman this Summer, and have a few guests on the mountain for a day of BBQ and shooting ;)

Hello Paul welcome to GTA I was wondering if you were going to make it to GTA ? I am glade you stopped in to say hello . I hope you can collect all the items you need to continue the review. I think the rifle at $ 239 deserves more credit than it has been getting . But what do I know . Rifle , sorted  pellets , and shooter all have a lot to do with accuracy . Marvin

Hi Paul, it has been a while since we talked.. You have become a very busy man these days. For everyone's information Paul Capello has been a member of the GTA since 10/06. He also designs computer enclosures and a whole bunch of great stuff..:) And of course his great video reviews of what we all love the most...:) A multi talented man..:) A very smart fellow indeed I must add. Not to mention his generosity of information.

Paul, how are you doing on some of your air gun projects or have you had time to work on em? All of us here at the GTA sure love your objective video reviews and hope you continue making them. Stop by when ever you have a moment to share with us and you will get plenty of feed back..:) For sure all of our support.

Hey thanks for the Kudos, Gene--I appreciate it and it means a lot coming from the friendly hard core side of the sport!

I would love to show mods, upgrades, tunes and such on the episodes--What I need is some guests to appear on the show and bring some fresh insight (as well as their modded guns) into the custom side of things--as well as hunting/target advice and so forth. If anyone is interested, by all means contact me here via PM and we'll talk.

It's a very laid-back studio environment, and not to mention--53 acres of land. It's very easy to get to by car if you are in the TriState area.

-Paul

Great video Paul, helps make me feel quite confident in my decision to purchase a Discovery even though I chose the .177 calibuh ;)

Any idea when you'll get those decibel tests in? I'd like to see more productions from you on the Discovery, I hope you're able to attract a guest from this fine forum.

I did my own primitive test, the result is a .wav file here http://www.4shared.com/file/66241005/84db2ae9/P1-R9-Disco-SoundTest-Spliced.html

This thing is damn loud as far as I'm concerned. Are all PCPs this loud?

This should be a link to a .wav file I just created that has 2 shots each from a P1, R9 and Discovery in .177 for comparison.

Somebody tell me if this file share works and what you think of the comparison.

The shots are close together because I edited out all the cocking and pellet fumbling.

For this test the microphone was slightly behind the muzzle of each gun and approximately 2 feet away. If I get the gumption to do this again I'll try a run with the microphone in front of the muzzle instead of behind it.
