Gamo Viper Express
« on: May 02, 2008, 06:28:30 AM »
All,
If any of you has one of these "gems", don't totally give up on it.
The other day i took a half-day off from work and did alot of shooting with mine...i put a red dot sight on it, and using the pellet adapter, tried a bunch of different pellets.
Somewhat frustrated with the groups sizes i was getting, i figured i'd try a pellet that i thought had no chance of working in this thing...Daisy Precision flat nose.
what a shocker...cloverleafs at 15 yards!
give it a try.  :)

That's what I have found also, with my Shadow Express...those Daisy Wadcutters are the ticket!!! Nice cheap ammo thats accurate in a rifle that is otherwise crippled.

Amazing...I pitched a tin of those thinking they were ultimate junk.  Didn't pay for the tin, and didn't think they'd shoot for beans for paper anyway, so out they went.
