Powerline 1000s
« on: May 05, 2008, 02:39:12 PM »
I just noticed that my local Wally World is now selling the Powerline 1000s for $67. That’s down from a previous low of $75.     For those interested you may want to check your local WM.  It sounds like a decent price for this shooter. However,  I resisted the temptation because my fondness is with the fixed barrel variety.  The one exception would be if Gene ever decides to part with his sweet shooting CZ 634.

How good are those Powerline 1000 and 800.. I see on the Daisy site they quote a much higher price... Of course they must be Chinese, who makes them?  Another question, are they the same as the Winchester rifles?  Frank

Frank, they are the same as the Winny, with a syn stock, made in Turkey. Some of the stores have been letting them go for $40.

Are they that bad, or just not popular?   Frank

The trigger needs some work and a debur, lube and they are very accurate hard hitting rifles. The 1000fps on them are true #'s with real pellets.

Splash is correct,,,,, I have 2 of em, 1 in wood and 1 in synthetic,,,,, both are deadly accurate and they are the hardest hitting .177 guns in my collection. Triggers do need work, but I got used to the way they feel and the triggers don't bother me none :)

I've used em both to hunt squirrels and they really whomp those tree rats :)

There are still $75 at my local Wall World. Keep hoping they go down. There must be 6 or 7 on the shelf and I don't think they've sold even 1 at the reduced $75 dollar price.

I need another .177 like a hole in my head..But $40 to 70 might be too good to pass up for an accurate starling gun.

I looked at a used Powerline 1000 at a pawn shop yesterday. They want $100.00 for it. I told them I could give them no more than $35.00 for it. They wouldn't go for it. They'll be sitting on it for a while. They also have a Feinwerkbrau 300 that I'd love to have. It's in absolutely fantastic condition. They want $699.00 for it. Not bad, I guess. I told them I could give them  treefiddy, maybe fohunna for it. Not 699. I'd be in divorce court faster than I could say Oop, my bad.
They've had this FWB for over 6 months now and won't budge on the price yet. Apparently they gave nearly fohunna for it. Ouch! Very narrow scope of interest in a gun like that.
But it is sweet.
Anyhoo, I need to check my local  wallyworld for a good price on a PL 1000.

I just checked our brand new Super Wal-Mart and they are $99...Nothing on sale here...$40 + shipping would still be a good deal.
