Crosman Discover .22 With pump
« on: May 11, 2008, 03:40:56 PM »
Hey guys,

I have for sale my crosman discovery .22 with pump which was bought from the crosman site in late march.
The gun was cycled for about 45 rounds, and shot fantastic. I have a bunch of pel's to go with it, including preditors, and some beeman cleaner
felts. There are no marks on the gun, and apperently the crown was double-checked during assembly, since it is factory marked with
a silver felt pen as to indicate visual inspection. The gun has been charged for 2 months, and does not leak a bit. Guage never moved.

Don't get me wrong I love the gun, and if asked why I am getting rid of it. I can simply say due to where I live in the city, and my neighbors
dislike, i cant shoot it here. Since I have to truck it to my parents in the woods, and recently purchased a .17HMR and aquired a 22 marlin slider
I prefer the lazy approach of loading subsonic LR.s and manually cycling through 10 shots on the marlin better. For as little as I shoot, it was a must have
toy that was impulse purchase.  Pics are available and my reputation can be verified as both a buyer and seller on ebay. The name is sweptaway_laguna.

I am asking 400.00 (what I basically paid) plus cost of ship - and will include about 600 rounds of ammo give or take, 200 or so being preditors, 500 daisy's and about 70 beaman felts.

photos are available upon request. My email is jay@ctbilliards.com and have a verified business paypal account so no worries.

Happy Hunting

Scope is NOT included.

- Jay

I'm not bagging on you but, PA has the Benji with pump for 379 shipped new. If you need to sell it you should figure out what the least amount is your willing to take and work up a little and start there. Sorry just trying to help you out.

If its available, I been watching the ship dates jump up...Don't forget shipping from crosman is not free..
I mean i'm not a hard a$$ I assumed somebody would make a reasonable offer
and we go from there. weed out the tire kickers. I'm one of those people who would
spit out the extra 20 bux to have it in a day or so. I wanted to purchase from PA back
in march, but the date kept popping up, soon it was april, then late april..

BTW it is now as of this writing shipping 5/16 and I'll believe it when I see it. This gun at PA has been bouncing up in shipdate
since 3/10 when I wanted it. Crosman is filling orders from its website first, then the dealers get it, took mine 6 days order to ship.
I feel bad for the guys at PA and AGD because they have no control over what the manufacture is doing and how do you keep telling
a customer its another month.. another month.. and so on...

I dropped 417.00 total on it.. with the shipping. I know PA ships for free..
Make an offer.. I'm not looking to get rich, just regain what I paid for a gun I
shot less then 1 load of air. And I know you wern't giving me a hard time about my price, I didn't take it personal
again... a best offer would be taken into consideration providing it wasn't an outright insult.  The price has already pushed to 419 at AGD as well,
and I'm almost sure PA may follow suit minus a few bucks, since they are good like that.

The pellets and cleaning pads are another quick 25.00 toss in, they also cost you 11.99, 5.99 times 2 and 8.99. When I got my gun
crosman threw in a lousy 50 rounds wow... I'm just tossing in what I have plus a bore site that was another 55.00 which was a here ya go man, have fun kinda gift.

All in all, I thought 400 was fair for what your getting saving you a little less then 100.00  and warranty is xferrable..

The scope set me back about 500 to the gent that asked.

Jay,I agree with Jason/Leftcoast,you are asking more than dealers are asking.......COBRA AIR GUNS will do even better than the $379, (for GTA members)than most dealers are asking....plus they are brand new never opened/shot........If you get that price, more power to ya!....You need to ask in the $300-$325 ball park to get some attention.......

Yep! People still think different when it's brand new versus opened..used nor unused. Once it's opened the asking price usually goes down.
As the people here said, lower the asking price to get attention.
Nice gun though..am thinking of getting one in the future (not near future).
Good luck on your sale. Hope you get a good price for it.

Jay, don't let our suggestions at a lower price seem like criticism, we have all bought air rifles from each other and as far as I can see, this forum sells at a value, I think we want to bless the other members and none of us really seem to care about the last $$. It is hard for us to bargain too much as we "see" each other every day on the site. I have been given things for free and bought things way below their likely sale price on the Yellow site. Lots of us ship and trust that the money will come and the check will clear. Every forum has a flavor, this one is more like famly. We are glad to have you here and hope that your gun finds a great new home at a price that both buyer and seller find fair.

None taken PB,

I have this uncanny tendency to buy things and get rid of them (generally at a loss) which is just me... Like the drozd.. paid like 289.00 added jim c's mock supressor for another 100.00
shot 10 co2's through it, and unloaded it for 200.oo  eh its money, but it satisfys my curiousity

I can't tell you HOW many times I've done that. The way I figure it, the difference between my asking and selling price is what I had to pay to rent the gun so I could try it out...

Stupid part is when I buy a gun, sell it, then buy ANOTHER example of the same gun. Well, maybe not so stupid. Leftcoast got me a Powerline 1000 for $40 (had one and sold it), and I bought a .22 MP513 after selling my .177.

Weirdest one is the gun I bought twice - a .22 RWS94 refurb from Umarex. Bought it, returned it for a .177 (the barrel was bent), and bought it again about 8 months later at a reduced price after they straightened the barrel.

twice?? Your worse then I am LOL.. yeah I thought the same thing.. I wonder when they are going to get off thier ass's over there in NY and start sending to dealers...
My shop in CT here has been waiting since Feb for thier orders.. Only thing I ever bought Thrice was a 1971 formula firebird, it went back and forth
between me and a friend for 20 years.. I ended up with it in 1987 and kept it ever since..  I guess you may not be as bad as It appeared at first glance hah
