New to the Forum.. First kill yesterday
« on: May 12, 2008, 05:26:59 AM »
I am new to the forums here.  I just recently bought a Crossman G1 Extreme for $99 at Dick's Sporting Goods.  I am just getting into air rifles and have been reading about how to take care of it, etc... and I was originally confused on which one to buy... but anyway I killed one of these darn birds that keep making nests in the Grill, exhaust vents, etc around the house.  I hit him and he actually flew into the tree a few feet away, and then plopped over after about 5 seconds.  At first I was like... I can't believe it I drilled this bird feathers flew and it didn't even die.  It was gone this morning the foxes must of got him.

Welcome to the forum Josh,, nice to have you with us. Great shooting. If you can post some pics that would be great,,,, we just love hunting pics :)

The G-1 Extreme was a good solid choice for a firt gun. I bought one awhile back and absolutely love it. Deadly accurate and is a sweet, smooth shooter. It will even shoot better after it's broken in,,, which usually takes several hundred to perhaps a 1000 pellets.

Will be looking forward to your future posts.....

Welcome to the GTA Josh. As you can see i live all the way across the pond in South Africa, but the fine folks on the GTA makes me feel like one of their own family members. They are always willing to give advice, and they are not "airgun snobs" who think that only guns costing hundreds or thousand of dollars are worth buying. They get exited over cheap $80 guns up to the top of the range stuff. Post pics whenever you can, whe like them "Pics"

Welcome again, and remember there is'nt a thing like a stupid question, and i have asked my fare share myself!!!

Well the first time is the hardest, after that it gets easier. Try to go slow at first on buying more air guns so that you do not ruin your credit.
