I'm thinking really hard about getting one of the .22 890's from Pyramid with the sole intent of doing a gas ram tune-up. Rifle, $160, Theoben gas ram, $135, for a total of just under $300. Maybe another $50 in odds and ends. The least expensive production gas ram rifles I've been able to find start at about $500. Consistent, no spring torque, twang, or buzz, and to top it all off, you can leave your gun cocked, the better to nail that damn buck that destroyed my ash tree last night! Now I just have to figure out how to convince the wife that I really, really need this...
