umarex rws demos
« on: May 21, 2008, 02:41:32 AM »
Hello all. I'm new to the forum, but wanted to let you guys know about some deals that are available. Glenn at Umarex still has some demo rifles at great prices. As of mon. the19th, He had a Diana 34 with a "rough stock"-$110.00, Diana 48-$225, and a couple of 52's that were heavily discounted as well. I purchased a Diana 34 combo for 152 shipped.  -hope it helps out.

Sorry--forgot to mention; The rfles listed were all in 22 cal--because that's all I asked about. He had much more available in 177. Also, the prices listed included shipping.

Thanks for the note. We've known about the Umarex guns for a while (I've gotten 8 or 9 of them, depending on how many times you count the gun I bought twice!) but it's always good to get an update on what's available because it keeps changing.

Remember that these have no warranty to speak of. If you get an oinker out of the box, though, they'll take care of it. Also, if you need any Umarex parts - it's good to get 'em when you buy a gun, because Glenn Seiter might throw 'em in the box without charging the normal $8 handling fee.

Out of all the guns I got from them only one was really rough out of the box, the rest were pretty good. BTW - when you get the '34, you might wanna look into the breech seal... it seems that a fair number of them leak a bit, robbing power. My .177 went from shooting 870's to 950's just from shimming the seal up a bit.

...but the O-ring I used was a #109 from McMaster. I used Buna-N, 70 durometer, something like $3 per 100.
