. . . and a nutter one bites the dust
« on: May 22, 2008, 11:12:24 AM »
From a forearm rest, a quartering shot at about 12 paces with the rodent on the porttack. Somehow, pistol-pointing pest control is just more satisfying -- more up close and personal that with a long gun. Think I damaged some internal plumbing with the RWS Hobby. First kill for the 2300, with only a minor deduction for use of a rifle scope.

Tim:

Ah ha!  I just figured out the nature of your confusion about my description of using my left forearm as a rest.  I shoot "goofy-eyed" -- right handed, left eye dominant.  I can cross my arms and use my right hand to shoot with, and my left arm as a rest, left hand holding my right elbow.  Pretty steady actually.  And trying it sighting with my right eye doesn't work at all. (Oh my, it's not just my eye that looks goofy LOL)

Wondering if you had readjusted the parallax down to pistol ranges, and what magnification?
{Looks like maybe4-32, butjust a bitblurry}
