Continuing Saga of Discovery
« on: May 23, 2008, 05:48:47 AM »
Follow up on my post on Darksiders a few weeks ago the Saga continues.

Disco received with cracked stock - didn't want to send back to PA so had Crosman send one and put it on myself. They were real nice about it and I got it right away. New stock finish was just sticky feeling but I figured I could buff it out with 0000 and some oil. However the pump was taking almost 80 to bring it back from 1000 p.s.i. to 2000. Not acceptable at all so I returned to Crosman repair. Wow lo and behold returned a week later with new pump AND another new stock, this one pretty fair. Only problem now is new pump is just as bad and leaks air at diaphram so back to Crosman. This time it is going to Russ's attention directly.

Thank you for the follow up . Sorry to hear the pump is not what it should be . Hopefully the third time is the charm and you can begin to enjoy your rifle. Marvin

I got my first PCP and pump together, the BAM B-51.  The pump worked for one full charge then broke.  It was $99 at the time.  Coud have sent it back, but I like to tweak.  I did go on-line, read the reviews and pruchase a Hill pump with air dryer.  I have never had a problem with it but I did talk to the Hill folks directly about this and that so I could make myself comfortable with being able to maintain a pump made in England - those folks are very nice and responsive.  Sorry about your problems, the Disco is a very nice shooter.
