When good guns go baaaaad!
« on: May 27, 2008, 12:32:54 PM »
Well, the C2250-XT came back from Roy Weid today. . .  very exciting!  This rifle is intended to be the companion piece to my C2300/177 pistol.

I'm impressed!  Very nice trigger.  Points well, but I don't know about this scope yet. As pictured, she's just under 7# with a full 88g CO2 cart, so absolutely no perceptible recoil. The balance seems to be very good.  The brass breech, handle and muzzle brake are nice.  And she's got a very satisfying report indeed when she barks.  Roy at Mountain Air Guns has been great to deal with.  I need to find the right optics and get her zeroed in, then I will have some chrony numbers and more info about how accurate she shoots.  First impression:  a perfect squirrel slayer just looking for any excuse -- watch out, rats!

NICE new rat getter. I've not delt with Roy but have heard nothing but good things about him. Looking forward to see some pics in the hunting gate. :)

Roy does do some nice work, got one myself. :)  I have mine topped with a Bushy Banner 4-12x40, works well and doesn't add much weight. Haven't chronied mine since it warmed up, but she was doin 704avg at 60deg. Your first impression is right, nutters don't stand a chance out to 50yrds. Enjoy TEC :)
