Shadow just plinkin along
« on: May 29, 2008, 06:28:31 AM »
Spent the day out on the deck with the wife planting some flower's and soaking in the sun, good for the spirit. As alway's I had a shooter on hand just in case a intruder show's, the 1377 has alway's been good company so she was resting on the railing, waiting hehehe. The wife gives me a silent signal that there's a bad bird as she calls em on the feeder so with that I dropped my little shovel and grabbed the pistola. Safety off and already loaded with a Tomahawk I placed the sight's on his center. The wife then asked me if the bad bird was too far away lol. Hmmm 20yard's from deck railing to the feeder problem, resighted and sent the Tomahawk away. It's nice when they just fold their wing's and make a death dive to the ground and with that I told my lovely wife NO! not at all honey.:) Ok back to planting our flower's dear and I'm still plinkin along.:) Ed

You always did have "the touch" with those pistolas :)

Great shootin buddy. 20 yards with open sights on a pistol is a heck of a shot.....

Nice shooting.
I've had a 1377 for awhile. Couldn't hit crap with it. Just figured pistols and I didn't get along.
Recently got a rifle, got several pellets to try as recommended here. then sent it for a tune.
Bored 1 day and grabed the pistol with some Raptors. that didn't work, so I tried some Superdomes.
Didn't expect much, but, the domes grouped about 3/4 " at 15 yds. with rest!
I became impressed quickly! LOL
Being blind as a bat with the stock sights, surprised the tar out of me.

I can't get over your wife giving you signals about the birds. Mine would scare them off before I could even load.

Thats cool Ed nice shooting as well thats one thing I have never really done much of  so one day I might just get a pistol with good enough power to do the job and see how long it takes me to actually hit anything with it :)
