They (953,853,753)run on the same basic system...are differences in barrels, triggers,and stocks, but the effort to pump any of them is going to be about the same (and it really isn't that bad). As the $ goes up, the trigger, stock, and barrel gets better,.
They do have short stocks...but are shootable with the supplied spacers. Aren't the fastest rifles out there...figure something around 450fps with full weight pellets. I'd not pick one for hunting, although if you have some English Sparrows sized targets that need shooting, it will work just fine.
Now the very good news:
They do shoot very well. Most of my testing is done at 20yards, and getting groups under 1/3" with good pellets isn't unusual. If I were to average ALL the groups, would not be in the .3's...more like the .5s. Still, setting up a row of beer bottle caps at 20 or 25 yards and working your way down the line is a lot of fun.
They are quiet. That low speed isn't all negative, this is proably one of the best inside the house practice guns, or for use in semi-urban back yards where being quiet is a must.
