Tune/Lube for RWS 460
« on: June 06, 2008, 01:02:33 PM »
I just ordered a new RWS 460 .22. I want to take it apart, clean, inspect and lubricate before I start using it. What other tune ups can I do to this rifle? What's available as far as kits?
All help and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Rob

From what I have been told, and from the limited experience of the one I shot, the powerplant is very similar to the RWS M48/52 with the exception being of course where the cocking arm is located (underlever vs. sidelever).  Maybe check with Jim Macarri to see if his Monolith kit will fit it, if not maybe he can set you up with what does fit.  The disassembly/lubing should also be very similar to the M48/52 and there are a few how-to guides around the web for those models, just do a search.
