Hey, Gene,
« on: September 19, 2006, 05:07:55 PM »
20,000 comedians out of work, and you're trying to be funny!  Gotta say, you had me going for about 2 seconds.  Would have been longer if it wasn't for FedEx tracking.  Just wait, buddy, you know what they say about paybacks :-) !

Dave

PS Sorry, guys, inside joke.

Brand spanking new Chrony Beta, 1/2 a bazillion pellets, 2 more packets of card stock for targets.  Yea, I think I'm ready.  May have to take Monday off just be here when my rifle gets here :-) .
Here's a hoot for everyone.  I live in a touristy sort of place.  Well, we have a little sporting goods store, and just for grins I stopped in to see what they had in air guns.  Only 2 adult rifles, a Crosman 522 and a Shadow 1000.  How's this for prices?  The Crosman was $179.99 and the Gamo...are you sitting down?...the Gamo was $269.99!!!!!  This character sell Carharts for similar prices.  You can bet the locals don't buy from him.  Later.

So where do you get your card stock? And does your printer print it ok?  I just found a deal on 500 poker chipsfor $1.00 ..:) they will make great targets at 30 yards. Just spray the back of them and stick em to my shooting board....

Got the last two at Wally World, any office supply store will have it.  Comes in packages just like regular printer paper, just not so many sheets.  Where regular printer paper is 20 or 24 pound, the card stock is 110 pound.  About the same stuff that's used for business cards.  As to how my printer handles it, the targets I posted for the Shootout were on the same card stock.  I don't remember what the specs are on my printer, but I know it will handle stock even heavier than this.

Those poker chips sound like a lot of fun, where'd you ever find them?  And what type are they, the nice clay type, or the typical plastic?  Either way, sounds like it could get messy...
