Made a couple more wooden brakes.
« on: June 10, 2008, 08:11:04 PM »
After the success of my first brake, I decided to try another one or two.  I'm new at this, so what I ended up with isn't superb, but I am pleased since they are my 2nd and 3rd attempt.  Tell me what you guys think?  And if you want me to TRY to make one for you, just ask.  It's fun making these, but I'm out of guns to put them on!!!

I think that's good work, you can even paint them. I don't know much about brakes, but on a heavy spring would the wood work?

One of those would look great on my R1 and my MP512M. The R1 has a muzzle diameter of .626" and the MP512M has a diameter of .512"  I think I would apply a tung oil finish to the one for the R1 and Black Dura Coat to the one for the MP512.
