Bummer email from Gamo
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:26:20 PM »
Somehow I lost one of the little bushings that the cocking lever uses to glide against the stock when cocking my cfx.  I looked at the parts diagram in the Library and found the part number.  I fired of and email to Gamo telling them I owuld like to order a new bushing.  I fully expected them to send me a cost and instructions on how to get them a credit card number and happines would be had by one and all.

Unfortunately, that's not what I got back.  I got a tacky reply that said that I couldn't order parts from Gamo, that I had to find a licensed dealer.  Bummer!  I bought my CFX from a big box store 300 miles from here.

Well, I made a new part out of a plastic bead I found in my tackle box, but I would like to go ahead and order a part, does anyone know how to order Gamo parts?

Gamo does not sell many parts in the US with the exception on some accessoies and some breech seals. They sell no internal parts. They also sell some stocks when they have them but that's about it.

At least you got a reply....

When I got my Big Cat package from WallyWorld.....two screws were missing from the scope mount.  I emailed them about it....and even included the "quality control" number....and was willing to paid for the screws.  Never heard a peep from them......was ignored completely.  After a week of letting the gun sit (I had other new air rifles to shoot)....I went to a local hunting shop and bought two used screws.
