I am sure they dont have the .22 version. Pyramyd is the only online vendor that anybody can find that carries the .22 and it comes with a 4x32 scope...they call it a combo, and its $220 bucks. Thats what I bought the first time, the .22, and I liked it so much I wanted one in .177 too, but I didnt wanna spend 200 bucks on it. I dont know about the energy thing...I just wanted everyone to know about that great deal for 160 bucks....and then I ended up buyin one myself!!! Ha!!! AND... .177 pellets are cheaper/more variety...easy to stock up on.

Its kinda funny actually to me, now that I look back on it all....at first I only bought what I could afford and then later I started buying what I wanted, because I never really could afford any of it anyway. Thats where the credit card comes in handy. And then there's the pellets...and more pellets...and more pellets because now we see the price jumpin up every year....so we buy as many as we can...then there's a shortage and everybody gets cranky...until you finally have your fiftythousand pellet stash...you figure your set for life...but then you expended ten thousand of the pellets just playin around...so you have to buy more...only now their double what you paid for em in the first place...and then this new Walther Falcon .25 caliber springer comes out...gotta have that...but, dont got no pellets though...gotta get some of them...but the first order of five thousand wasnt enough so you buy another five thousand...and then....well, it just starts repeatin again like a bad burp after a plate of salmon....

GAMO/PYRAMID promoted the .22 CFX for there own experimental promotion, which actually turned out well for both......if you can get your hands on a .22,go for it...there will be a demand on them in the future(little bit of inside info to share with you).....

Are ya gonna snatch one of them .177s up at Natchez?  If so ya better hurry cause with a price like that, they aint gonna last long....

I don't know why i'm still set on the .22, it's killing me.

I should certainly go with the .177 now

It of been neat to be able to shoot like 50 yards with the .22, but i'm think I can use hollow points with the .177 and accomplish the same objective. Which will be pest control possibly, I'm thinking that if the hollowpoint gets wider on impact then it will retain the killing effect of the .22.

Spring breakage then directs you to either have it repaired, let it sit, or repair it yourself. We've got tuners who can replace the springs for ya...or you can visit the Jim Maccari spring heaven, and buy the spring yerself and fix it yerself. Check out Jim's page here:

I dont know what spring fits in the CFX. You'd have to ask Jim that question.

it doesnt really matter what kind of pellet you use as long as you can shoot accurately. and i dont know of you have used hollow points before, but they dont really expand very much at all. Unless you buy some crow magnums but those are heavy and could mess up your gun. I doubt you could hit anything with crow mags at 50yards...
Just use a pellet that you know is accurate at 50 yards. Pests wont stand a chance if you get em in the head.
