New Panther Strikes!!!
« on: June 13, 2008, 12:48:08 PM »
Was out back shooting the new Panther today off the porch, up to well over 500 rounds now. Man I got this gun "dialed in"!! I was just hitting cig buts pretty regularly out to 25 + yrds. & grinning ear to ear about my succsess with this Diana Sweetie. Thinking to myself, man just wait till next season!! Decided to step inside to grab a cold brew to celibrate, when I saw him,,AGAIN,, Now this guy has had many verbal warnings, & even seems to taunt my little Poodle dog when she chases him from the garden. He was in the process of finishing off the THIRD planting of okra seedlings. The Panther was right there, (was plinking towwards the front yard). I grabed it & loaded it right in front of him,(he is used to me yelling at him). Well, this time I had enough, He was quartering slightly to my right, the CPHP found its mark just behind the shoulder (27 yrds). That put it directly into the "boiler room". I swear he jumped 4 feet up & did a perfect back flip & landed on his feet like a cat!! I frantickly reloaded & ran up in "SWAT" mode, before I reached him he fell over with narry a quiver. Now I think its too late to replant my okra, but, the rest of the garden is safe. Tim.

Thanks Folks. This new 34 is by FAR the sweetest shooting springer I have ever owned, well next to my Diana 54!LOL!! I just have not been able to put it down! The combined efforts of Mr. "Bob" (Charlie Da Tuna) & Mr. Gene Curtis tuneing & setting up my new 34  has provided me with a TRULY special one of a kind Diana 34 Panther that most will never be blessed with. I thank them both so much for the time & effort they put into providing me with such a special gun. This thing SHOOTS!!! Tim.

Good shooting Tim!  Nice bunny and Panther too!  :)  Is it .177?

Did you wash and blow-dry the bunny again for the pics? hehehe..  Looks very clean to me without a drop of blood on it :)

I was at my sister's in PA last weekend where we had a familiy reunion.  We had a BBQ but most of us where inside due to the 100deg. heat wave.  I was outside helping my brother-in-law with the BBQ and keeping him company when I noticed 2 very large rabbits in their backyard not more than 15yds away.  I then looked around the neighborhood and other backyards with my "trained eye" and spotted rabbits everywhere in mid-afternoon and I thought of you :)  I wish I had brought one of my airguns there.  That was rabbit heaven!  My b-inlaw said they have destroyed much of his garden and even eat his flowers.  He would not have minded if I took some out (except maybe my sister).  The houses there in that Lancaster suburb neighborhood are very big but on 1/5 or 1/4 acre lots at the most, so they are close to each other and I doubt anyone does any airgun shooting. There 's hardly any privacy with no large trees, unless you have a fenced-in back yard, so the rabbit population has soared.  Oh well, next time :)  The problem is I have to drive through New Jersey to get to PA and if I get pulled over with any airguns in the car I could be locked up.  Jersey laws suck..
