Took the Samatra out of the case today and........
« on: September 22, 2006, 11:17:41 AM »
was shooting from 80 yards out. Managed to blow a hole through a piece of 1/2" plywood that I sat in the field in front of the house. I was able to hit what I was pointing at. Did not put any paper up. I put the plywood out there a few months ago when I was shooting the Hunter 1250 .22. The hunter would go through the plywood also but did not blow a one inch chunk out of the center of the plywood like the Samatra did..:) I had the Samatra on full power with 30 gr pellets. They must pack a heck of a punch. Actually the Samatra is capable of 31-62 fpe.

It is a powerful PCP. I think I would like to go for one more nice midrange PCP and a CF tank with regulator.  Will look for one that is under 7 lbs...:)

The one pictured there is yours? Nice sweet PCP. I have not heard of the manufacturer but that does not mean much..:) Do they sell replacement parts? Who works on those PCP's? If that is yours, then tell us something about how it shoots and more eye candy...:)

As stated I'm wait for it to arrive...I am very anxious I can't wait to see what it will do to the crows around here. As soon as I get it and use it I will write up a review. but if you want to read a review of it now well click here.

To say the least, that was an impressive review. By the looks and description of the rotary, it looks and is described like the Samatra. The cocking is very easy also. You do not have to move your hand to cock it, unlike the Samatra. You actually have to cock the lever with one hand. Looks very nice Bart. Thanks for showing us this new PCP.

It looks mighty nice to me...he he he. I am anxious to hear what you have to say about it. Do you have a CF tank? or are you using a pump.
At 180 bar, it would not be as cumbersome to pump up with a pump..

I bought a pump only because after a get familiar with the gun it will be mostly use for hunting, at least that's the logic behind it. I do more plinking than hunting so the breakbarrles are my favorite for that. Next month a have to get some more guns or was that this month??? Hmmm I better get some now just in case....lol..
