I can't believe it....it's a tie

Over the last 5 years or so I have had several hundred guns shipped to me and feel that I have been pretty lucky after seeing some of the horror stories along the way regarding receiving busted up guns.

Up until about two weeks ago, I had received only two damaged guns. One was shipped by the USPS and the other was via Fed Ex and they were several years ago. In the last two weeks, I have received two that were busted up pretty bad. One came by DHL and the other by UPS. The ones that came by UPS and USPS were very poorly packaged though.

So, the score is even up...one each for USPS, FedEx, DHL and UPS. I must say that over all given the number of guns that I have received, that isn't bad.

 I'd just like to say, if you are going to ship a gun, be sure that it is well packaged and preferably double boxed if possible with shock absorbent material between the boxes.

When I recieved my CFX from the UK, it was double boxed plus it had 1X6" boards strapped to each side with huge balls of packaging at each end of box. It looked like one giant dog bone... It really did. Now that is good packaging...he he he.. No damage or even a scratch..

Yeah most of the damage that comes from shipping is poor packaging.
