  I finally got him/her!! The garbage was spread about the yard again this am., the wife said GET HIM!!LOL!! I had nearly given up hope, as he/she has givin me the slip for some time now! Was the best ever,, one shot from the Diana 350 I refer to as "Chopper" was VERY decisive,, 20 yrds. this garbage raiding "Coon" went down  lights out!! Just a couple of death spins, that gave me time to reload & run up to him in "Swat Mode",, By the time I got there,, he was DONE!! I gotta post this now before it gets too late!! I FINNALLY GOT HIM FOLKS!!!!! Tim.

I thought you got the possom but this is better.  He 's kind of young and not too fat.. but I 'm not surprised.  All he could find in your garbage  was probably beer cans and not much to eat :-)  Just kidding buddy!  Good shooting!  
Now that's worth stuffing and put in your trophy room.  I haven't seen "my racoon" since winter.  He probably just ventured out far because it was hard for him to find food in the cold or snow covered ground.  
So I take it you had the entire area lit up well?

way to go "tim da chopper"!.....in reading your post, you apparrently have a problem determining the gender of the animal....have you tried turning it upside down and looking between the loins to see what attachments it has?.....ha!...LOL!!!!.....GREAT SHOT!!......at least you hit the "correct" end of the varmit!.....i'm having too much fun with this....LOL!!!
