B3 @ Night!!
« on: June 27, 2008, 06:10:47 AM »
I finally got in some good ole night shootin. I had been trying to get these vermin for a while but just couldn't get myself to stay up that late. well i finally set the bait and an alarm for 3 AM. I got up and went to the window and setup over looking the bird feeder (I would say about 18 to 20 yards) .they come to eat the seed that falls from the feeder.  + I added some peanut butter on the ground.every thing was set. I could see pretty good to the bait with just binocs. within 10 minutes dark silloutes were zipping in and out on that bait fast.I put the binocs down and got behind the b3 . even with the cheap 3-9-32 powerline no AO I could see the bait. must have been a decent moon.as one ran in I put the crossair on and squeezed and I hear THWOPP! HE HE.upon impact the vermon jumped clear out of sight. in less than ten minutes they were back zipping around so I setteled the crosshair on another squeeze and I hear that unmistakible THWOPP! again HE HE.this one never moved from where it was standing just laid there twichin on the bait. HE HE.

Thanx guys. ya Rat Patrol it is an old set of rings.1 cheapo AA flash light with a 3d mag lite bulb wired to 6volt battery.I would like to put pressure switch.it is pretty bright it reaches the fence property line in my back yard easily about 25-30 yrds.I also use old scope cap + red tailight tape as a filter.I know you can buy rigs like this but this was stuff I had at hand.   JOHN
