Sorry Brody, dem's illegal and will not be discussed here. There's plenty of info on the subject, floating around and it's very easy to find. Let someone else shoot it while your standing a yards away, it's not as loud as you think it is.

Hey Brody,, Yeah, what Mike said!! It is a touchy subject for shure. Dont feel like we are jumping on you Bud. Recent laws have been "changed" in favor of airguns, (Pellet Guns) & Paintball guns. However,,, ALOT is still open to interpitation, & it still remains a VERY gray area!!!!!!!!! I sugest you do a little research before you progress any further,, "suppresion" devices are treated the same as unlawfull,, sawed off shotguns,, self manufactured firearms,,un permitted ownership of a "fully automatic" weapon ect. ect. A Federal (Felony) crime with a 10+ year sentance!! Not trying to shut you down on your Quest for a quiet airgun Brody,, MANY legal ones exist you can buy without the worys of spending a few years with "Buba"!!LOL!! Yep and that's one subject that is listed in the rules, not to be discussed, sorry can't help ya. You kinda got the idea though, but like I said it's allot quieter if your not shooting it, it's a springer and most of the noise is from the power plant, not the report.

P.S.,, Brody,, it just occured to me,,you are seeing many "muzzle breaks" here & posibly on other forums. I can see how you might have been misslead by what you see. Most of what you see are absoloutly nothing to do with sound suppresion,, some firearm breaks are vented to reduce "muzzle flip",, they can be somewhat effective. I will probly get jumped on this statement,, Most airgun MB,s are there to add good looks,, in the case of break brls. they also provide a great hand hold that many say makes cocking easyer(Myself included) Also they can arguarbly provide better overall ballance & improved harmonics as well,(Again I am a fan) There are MANY good reasons to add a nice break to your favorite airgun!! Im shure Im missing many of them here,, (Im shure Im getting ready to be enlightened!!) LOL!! Tim.

I have a Quest and i thought it was loud until i had my wife shoot it about ten yards to my side, its actually pretty quiet, just a little spring noise is all.  I have made -->MuzzleBrakes/suppressors for my Co2 pistol that were quite effective( I got scared of going to jail though, so i destroyed them),
 The loudest part of your gun is probably the action.

Your exactly right Tim, they look cool and aid in cocking a break barrel. Again Brody I apologize, but this can NOT be discussed in any further detail, as far as being functional.

Just thought about this, why not buy a barrel from a Gamo Whisper? That seems like what you're looking for...

Honestly though, the StormXT is not a very loud gun. It seems loud to the shooter because of the action being so close to you. Let someone else shoot it and it's not so loud.

As far as I remember, 13 year olds stillcannot buy airguns. Safety courses would howeverbe the best plan of action, then whensafe handlinghas beendeeply ingrained, working on someperformance enhancements would be more appropriate.

Not to be a *_*_*_*_*_* since im a newbie and all, but the censoring on this particular thread is getting ridiculous.  I dont understand the dramatic reaction to what should be an innocous question.
  What someone says is what should show up here (minus profanity, etc)  
Also, It is not illegal in the slightest to speak (1st Amendment anyone?) of the topic in question.
  I can understand if the topic is likely to get out of hand but i dont see that happening on this forum as the general posting populous is fairly mature.
