Sweet trade!
« on: July 04, 2008, 01:40:04 AM »
As some of you know, I posted one of my Talon SS's for trade for an AA S200.  I've been shooting just about nothing but Talons for the last year, and felt it was about time to try something new.  Since one of my Talons is currently a 50+fpe hammer, I figured a nice light target/plinker rifle was the way to go.  Got a chance to shoot one of the match versions of the S200 a couple of years ago, getting one has been in the back of my mind ever since.

Well, turns out no one had an S200 they were interested in trading, but someone offered up an AA S400 Xtra FAC.  Needless to say, I jumped on the offer, I've yet to hear anything bad about the AA rifles, but with the recent price hike, I figured I'd never be able to afford one.  So as of next week sometime, I should have a new (to me) rifle to tell you about :-).  And for anyone familiar with this particular model, I'd appreciate any info you might be able to pass along.  I'm also looking for a fill adapter, my trading partner only has one and he has 3 AA rifles.  Stay tuned, people!

Dave

Dave you lucked up on that one, that is a sweet deal. Talk to Kirby, he's got a few and the one, with the purple stock, is a sweet heart.

Good for you. I will be interested in how you like it. Probably you can get a fill probe from Air Hog.

We like our (let me clear that up "her") AA410E and I have been lucky enough to shoot a few other AA's, they are all nice.
You didn't say what .cal , the .177 we got was topping 1100fps for a few shots even with 10.5g , it was sent to Pamona for the aftermarket power adjust and now it adjusts ALL the way down to 905 w/10.5g's. Just legal for FT, great for paper, and the .177 is amazing in Chicken protection ability.
We purchased a used Lefty which didnt suit her well so it has a custom stock fit & balanced for her. Last week the "Pole Cat" bi-pod was added. We would'nt have purchased it except for the time Scott & Son took to show me there's. Slick unit, snaps on/off like a socket, roates 360, levels better than anything, silent and weighs ounces (?). We also got the after market 10 round clip and a single shot loading tray from RCMachine.

Nice all the way around--lucky girl. How low does the FPS go using the power mod?
