Well, I'm about 3 sheets to the wind right now and figue that I'd tell my hunting story for the month.
I usually work Grave yard, but since Friday (YUP! had to work the Holiday! I'm on a 12 day straight schedule right now.) I've been on Swing Shift, and the Pidgeon hunting was GREAT to say the least! At night, there's few that are roosting or returning to the roost, but on Swing shift while there's still Daylight, flying rats are around litterally in the THOUSANDS!
Long story short, me and one of my work buddies are only there in case of a machine break down and the machines have been running smoooooooooth for the last couple weeks. No Maintenance calls at all. SO, that means more hunting time! WOO HOO!!!
Over the last 3 days we've taken at least 250 pidgeons from the Pit area and from the Material Recovery Facilities that don't run on weekends. And when the sun went down we've bagged about 9 skunks and 2 possums before quittin time! My arms & fingers are sore from cocking & fingers are what seems to be permanently BLACK for loading Crosman Premiers in the rifles!
If Gene is on, he knows what I'm talking about!!! Dumps are GREAT places to hunt! As long as you have permission that is!
All the quarry was takien with either a Gamo Hunter 440 (friends), or my B30, Quest 800, Talon SS and/or my Crosman 2250XT
Pix of my hunting area soon to come!!!
