Wanted: New, or Like New Diana 350 Mag. in 22 Cal.
« on: July 10, 2008, 12:26:44 PM »
I have a 350 in 177 cal.,, tuned, with Gene Curtis muzzle break . I would be willing to part with it,ONLY to end up with one in 22 cal.!! (Willing to pay the differance) Its a nice shooter,, you can see a few pics. of it here at Hunting Gate!! Jay,, the one I shot of yours before the "Fun "Shoot",, was it 22 cal.??? (I may reconsider our RD 400 trade??)  Really still want that Dragon Slayer though!!LOL!! Another member here has expressed interest in "Chopper", (My 177 350) we came close to a deal,, Joe Cuz had already sold his CDT tuned 350 in 22 cal.  :0   Feeling the "Need For Power" again,,,, Tim.

Yeah you 'd feel a lot better with 23ft-lbs than 19.5 in the end Tim.

You can't say I didn't tell you to get the .22 from the beginning :)

When I get mine back from Curtis, I 'll use it for a season and then maybe take bids for the best (most) tuned 350 in the world.  Bidding will probably start around $700  :-)  What I 'm saying?  I'll probably never part with it, until I get arthritis and can't cock it anymore.  You don't give up a one of a kind 350 that easily :)

I 'm sure you 'll find one in great condition soon.  One or two .22's pop up in the classifieds every couple of months.  Too bad you weren't looking earlier in the year or last year.  There was a .22 350 4sale just about every 4 weeks but there 's definitly more .177's 4sale than .22's.

Funny, I just picked-up a used 350 Mag in .22 and I'm waiting for Gene to get off vacation so that I can cut and muzzle-break mine!  I've got a CDT tune in the werks as well.  How did the .177 tune up?  Nice?

Phil, I told you before, you don't have a typical 350.  You have a unique 350 on steroids!  I have never run into anyone that has a 350 as powerful as yours.

The average 350 is 22-24fpe depending on the pellet. Mine does 24fpe only with FTS 14.5gr and 23-23.8 with most other 14.3 pellets and JSB Jumbos.  Crow Magnums are around 22.8 with Kodiaks 21.x something.  It's getting (power) tuned for heavier pellets so it will be doing 23-25fpe with the big boys like Kodiak, CM's and JSB's and god only knows how high it will go with lighter pellets but I don't plan on shooting any of those because the gun most likely will not work well with them and will be against my tuner's advice.

BTW, are you using those white Diffusers (plastic thingies) on top of your Chrony when outdoors on a nice sunny day? or do you have the Chrony lights for indoor testing?  If you don't, it might explain why you are getting such high velocity readings.

There's one on the yellow classifieds posted yesterday. Guy says there's a couple scratches on the barrel, but since you'll chop it anyway...........hehehe.
