scope rail/rings shorter than the standard 100 mm sets I've seen on-line. Anyone know where something like this can be found?? Thanks, tjk

Try http://www.OpticsPlanet.net.  There is a recent thread in the Bargain Gate on these types of mounts.  

This one is 75mm long (the description says full length but it is not; the full length ones are 100mm as you know).
