Tim trust me I know first hand that those big bores are called big bores because they bore a big hole in your wallet and if you think a tank is going to feed its appetite then you better think again . But don't take my word for it ask J . He's been my mentor and I have a compressor on the way . And like he said its paid for at fill 63 . I go through a 80 cf bottle ever time I go to the range. Them rifles like their air . But they sure are fun to shoot and those powder burners around me do take notice . By the way welcome to the darkside you will never be the same . Marvin

I'd like to get a compressor and thought about one of those like 3n00n has. And welcome to the darkside. I think a Dragon Slayer would definitely qualify as a foot wetter, and a wallet drainer, but that hasn't stopped me from wanting one. I want to get one just to rebarrel as a 28 gauge air shotgun.

Why not 20ga?
« Reply #3 on: July 18, 2008, 05:35:33 PM »
This Dragon onspeed will push3/4 ounce of lead at 670fps, so a3/4 shotcup with 5/8ounce of steelshould do about the same, maybe more. However with a good 30 barrel, I bet it'd top 800fps and give patterns at least comparableto a 28ga paradox.
`
Won't really look the same, but it won't cost £6,000.00 pounds sterling either . . .

I can honestly tell you that I don't have a reason to not make it a 20 gauge. I was just thinking 28 gauge, because it's so close to .50 cal.

Just shoot them head on. That way all the guts come out the rear end. Simplifies the cleaning process.

Whatever lets me spend more time shooting, and less time gutting. :')
